In 2022, over 40 percent of people in Tanzania live in extreme poverty. Those in this bracket are surviving on a threshold of less than 1.90 US Dollars a day. This scarcity of resources further compounds the lack of access to sufficient livelihood and healthcare. At Ifakara Innovation Hub, we strive to use innovation as a way to respond to socio-economic challenges, especially in rural areas where the population is disproportionately affected.
