Safe and affordable reusable sanitary pads for girls and women in Tanzania.

The Problem

Menstrual Health and hygiene (MHH) still remains a challenge for women in Tanzania, especially girls at school. 42% of girls lack menstrual products/ 16.8% miss school due to lack of safe menstrual hygiene products, pain and discomfort.

Our Solution

The existing sanitary towels are disposable and therefore expensive for low income communities to afford. Although reusable sanitary towels are common, they do not meet quality standards. The Elimisha Pad is an affordable reusable pad for up to 4 months. They are high in quality, comfortable and adhere to safety standards. Elimisha pad is an innovation by Dada Lead.
